1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Journeo (“Journeo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

They govern your access to and use of the Journeo mobile applications, website, APIs, and related services (the “Service”).

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at https://journeo.ai/en/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The Service

Journeo is an AI-assisted travel planning product. Features may include (depending on platform, region, and release stage):

• creating and managing trips and itineraries
• map-based exploration of stops and destinations
• AI-generated itinerary suggestions and planner chat
• travel preferences, packing lists, weather information, and related trip tools
• inviting friends / collaborating on trips
• offline access to certain trip data on your device
• links to third-party travel / booking partners (affiliate)
• optional premium unlocks or subscriptions via Apple / Google in-app purchase (when offered)

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available in every country or at all times.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s consent and supervision where required by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with laws applicable to you.

4. Accounts and security

To use most features you must create an account and provide accurate information.

You agree to:

• keep your login credentials confidential
• not share your account
• promptly notify us at hello@journeo.ai if you suspect unauthorized access
• accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account, except where caused by our breach of these Terms

We may require email verification and may suspend or terminate accounts that appear compromised, abusive, or fraudulent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

1. use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes
2. harass, threaten, or infringe the rights of others
3. upload malware, scrape the Service in a way that burdens our systems, or attempt unauthorized access
4. reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security / rate limits except where such restriction is prohibited by law
5. misuse AI features to generate illegal content, spam, or content that violates others’ rights
6. impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
7. use automated bots to create accounts, generate plans at abusive scale, or exhaust API / AI quotas
8. interfere with other users’ trips, friendships, or collaborative content without permission
9. use the Service to collect others’ personal data without a lawful basis
10. violate Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, Google Play policies, or our partner terms when using linked booking services

We may investigate violations and take action including content removal, feature limits, suspension, or termination.

6. Your content

“User Content” means content you submit to the Service, such as trip details, notes, packing items, expenses, profile information, avatars, planner messages, and similar materials.

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content.

6.2 License you grant us

You grant Journeo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt (for example format conversion), display, and distribute your User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service — including syncing to trip members you invite, generating AI suggestions based on prompts you provide, and storing offline copies on devices authorized by you.

This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except for residual copies in backups (which are deleted on a rolling basis), legal holds, or shared-trip content that remaining members still need (see Section 11 and our Privacy Policy).

6.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights needed to submit it and to grant the license above.

6.4 Collaborative trips

If you share a trip, other members may view and (depending on role) edit content in that trip. Actions by editors may change or delete shared content. We are not responsible for disputes between trip members.

6.5 User safety (report and block)

Because Journeo includes social features (usernames, avatars, friendships, trip invites, and optional live location), you can block another user and report content or behaviour that violates these Terms from within the app. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts after review. Blocking does not delete shared trip history that remaining members still need; it stops new social contact from the blocked user toward you.

7. AI features — important limitations

Journeo uses AI to suggest itineraries, places, schedules, and related travel content.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI output can be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, culturally inappropriate, or unsafe for your specific situation
• AI may invent places (“hallucinate”) or suggest locations that cannot be verified; some items may be flagged as unverified
• Journeo is not a travel agency, airline, hotel, insurer, or licensed travel adviser unless we expressly state otherwise in writing
• You must independently verify visas, entry rules, opening hours, prices, accessibility, safety advisories, transportation, medical needs, and any booking before travel
• You use AI suggestions at your own risk

We may rate-limit AI features to prevent abuse and control costs. We may refuse or throttle requests that appear automated or harmful.

8. Maps, weather, places, and third-party data

Maps, geocoding, place details, weather forecasts, and images may come from third parties (for example Mapbox, Google Places via our backend, Open-Meteo, Wikipedia/Wikimedia, Pexels, and similar sources).

Those providers’ data may contain errors or gaps. Display of a place, weather icon, or photo does not mean we endorse it or guarantee accuracy.

Third-party brand names are used for identification only and remain the property of their owners.

9. Affiliate links and bookings

Journeo’s primary business model includes affiliate commissions. When you tap certain booking or travel partner links:

• we may generate a tracked / signed link on our servers
• the partner site’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your booking
• Journeo is not a party to your contract with the partner
• prices, availability, and cancellations are controlled by the partner
• we are not responsible for partner fulfillment, refunds, overbookings, or customer service for partner bookings

Clicking a partner link may create an affiliate attribution record as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Premium features, subscriptions, and payments

Some features may require payment (“Premium”), offered as:

• auto-renewing subscriptions, and/or
• one-time / pay-per-trip unlocks

Digital goods and subscriptions sold in the iOS or Android apps are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase (and may be managed via RevenueCat). You must use the store’s purchase flow for digital unlocks. Do not attempt to bypass store billing for digital content.

Billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and tax for store purchases are governed by Apple’s or Google’s applicable terms and policies. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

Promotional codes, sponsorships, or entitlements we grant may have expiration dates and conditions we communicate at the time of grant.

Unless required by law or store policy, fees are non-refundable once purchased.

11. Account deletion and data export

You may export your data and delete your account from Account settings in the app, or by contacting hello@journeo.ai.

Account deletion is permanent. After deletion:

• your personal account access ends
• we delete or anonymize personal data we no longer need, as described in the Privacy Policy
• shared trips with other members may continue under a transferred owner so collaborators are not left without their trip
• trips with no other members are removed

We may retain limited information as required by law or for legitimate security / fraud prevention purposes.

12. Intellectual property

The Service — including software, branding, logos, UI design, documentation, and non-user content — is owned by Journeo or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no license is granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our Service materials without prior written permission.

“Journeo” and related marks are trademarks of Journeo. You may not use them without permission.

Feedback you send us may be used freely without obligation to you.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy at https://journeo.ai/en/privacy. By using the Service you acknowledge that Policy.

14. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party platforms (Apple, Google, map providers, AI providers, hosting, analytics, payment processors, affiliate partners). Their availability and policies are outside our full control. Outages or policy changes at those providers may affect Journeo.

15. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• AI itineraries, maps, weather, place data, or partner offers will be accurate or complete
• defects will be corrected

TRAVEL INVOLVES INHERENT RISKS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR TRAVEL DECISIONS AND SAFETY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those places, disclaimers apply only to the extent permitted.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOURNEO AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR TRAVEL COSTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AI / MAP / WEATHER / PARTNER INFORMATION.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO JOURNEO FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM; OR (B) USD $50.

These limits do not exclude liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example certain liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Journeo from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law or store policies, if your use creates security / abuse risk, or if we discontinue the Service.

Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms) survive termination.

19. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted at https://journeo.ai/en/terms with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may be notified in-app or by email when appropriate.

If you continue using the Service after the effective date of updated Terms, you accept the changes where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

20. App Store / Play Store additional terms

If you download the app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play:

• these Terms are between you and Journeo, not Apple or Google
• Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app
• in the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple or Google and they may refund the purchase price of the app (if any) according to their policies; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple and Google have no other warranty obligation
• Apple, Google, and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the purpose of enforcing them against you regarding the app distribution platform rules
• you represent that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties

You must also comply with the applicable Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Google Play Terms of Service.

21. Export and sanctions compliance

You may not use, export, or re-export the Service except as authorized by the laws of the United States, Türkiye, the European Union, and any other applicable jurisdiction.

22. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

Courts located in Istanbul, Türkiye will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that:

• you may have mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence that cannot be waived
• we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or security

Nothing in this section limits rights you may have under Apple or Google refund / dispute processes for store purchases.

23. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
• Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Language. We may provide translations. If there is a conflict, the English version controls unless local law requires otherwise.
• Notices. We may notify you via the app, email associated with your account, or by posting on https://journeo.ai.
